Next Steps After The Auction

If you received an invoice from Collective Hudson or one of our bidding platforms, please review the payment, pickup, and shipping information below before contacting us.

Important: Payment is due within 3 days of invoice. Pickup or shipping arrangements should be made within 10 days.

Collective Hudson is an auction house. After the auction, successful bidders are responsible for paying their invoice and arranging pickup or third-party shipping for purchased items.

Collective Hudson does not provide in-house shipping. We do not pack, ship, quote, or arrange shipment on behalf of buyers. Buyers must contact a shipper directly if they need items shipped.

Pay Invoice

Complete payment through the correct platform or directly with Collective Hudson.

Choose Pickup Or Shipping

Local pickup is by appointment. Shipping must be arranged with a third-party shipper.

Schedule Release

Schedule a pickup appointment or have your shipper schedule pickup after payment clears.

Remove Items

Items should be picked up or released to a shipper within the required pickup period.

Payment Due: Payment is due within 3 days of invoice.

How To Pay Depends On How You Bid

Platform Bidders

If you bid through LiveAuctioneers, Invaluable, or another bidding platform:

  • Pay through the platform where you placed your bid.
  • The platform processes your payment and provides invoice access.
  • Questions about platform checkout should be directed to that platform.

Direct Bidders

If you bid directly with Collective Hudson:

  • Collective Hudson will send an invoice with payment instructions.
  • Payment must clear before items can be released.
  • Contact us if you have a question about a direct invoice.

Understanding Buyer’s Premium

Direct, Phone, Or Left Bids

Buyer’s Premium: 25%

Applicable tax may be added where required.

Online Platform Bids

Buyer’s Premium: 30%

This includes the online platform premium structure.

Step 2: Pickup Or Shipping

Important Shipping Notice

Collective Hudson does not have an in-house shipping department. We do not pack, ship, quote, or arrange shipment on behalf of buyers.

Buyers are responsible for contacting a shipper directly, getting a quote, paying the shipper, and coordinating pickup of their purchased items.

We provide a list of shippers as a courtesy. Buyers are also welcome to use their own preferred shipper.

Pickup Period: Items should be picked up or released to a shipper within 10 days of the auction. Storage fees may apply after the pickup period.

Option A: Local Pickup

After payment clears, local buyers may schedule an appointment to pick up their items from Collective Hudson.

What to bring: Government-issued photo ID. If someone else is picking up for you, please provide pickup authorization in advance.

Option B: Third-Party Shipping

If you need shipping, you must contact a shipper directly. Your selected shipper must schedule pickup during our available pickup hours after payment has cleared.

How Shipping Works

  • Choose a shipper from our list or use your own.
  • Contact the shipper directly for a quote.
  • Pay the shipper directly.
  • The shipper schedules pickup with Collective Hudson.

LiveAuctioneers Shipping

LiveAuctioneers may offer shipping quotes through their platform. Those quotes are not controlled by Collective Hudson.

Important Policies

Storage Fees

Items not picked up within the required pickup period may be subject to storage fees.

  • $20 per lot per day
  • Fees may begin after the pickup period
  • Fees continue until items are picked up or released

Abandonment Policy

Items not picked up within 60 days may be considered abandoned.

  • Items may be resold or donated
  • No refunds are issued for abandoned items
  • Buyer remains responsible for applicable fees

As-Is Policy

All lots are sold as is and where is.

  • No warranties or guarantees
  • Photos are part of the description
  • Condition reports are courtesy opinions only
  • Questions should be asked before bidding
